His Story

On Monday, November 5, Davis was brought into the ER with abdominal pain and lethargy that had begun virtually overnight. Thinking it was possible appendicitis, he was given a CT scan that instead revealed a large mass running from his belly button down toward his bladder. He underwent surgery to remove the mass in the days following, which unfortunately revealed it was Rhabdomyosarcoma, a malignant cancer. As you can imagine, this came at a shock to everyone. Please pray for Davis, his family, and those close to them as he begins his fight with this awful disease.

Family and friends will be using this site to keep all updates in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during the days ahead. Thank you for visiting.

Rally for the Robinsons

Family and friends of the Robinsons have set up a PayPal account to accept donations for the family for their unexpected financial needs. We hope to ease the burden of their medical bills, temporary loss of income, increase in living expenses, and adjusting to the cancer treatment life. We want them to have the freedom to focus on Davis and Lily without the financial stress that comes with a diagnosis like cancer.

Please consider joining us by giving financially to support them with either a one-time gift or monthly over the next 12 month of Davis’s treatment. Gifts can be made using the link below or you can send a check by mail to:

How to Pray

01.

Pray that God would rid Davis of every cancer cell in his body. Pray that He would respond well to treatment and have minimal or no side effects. Pray that only the cancer cells would die and never return, and that his healthy cells would be uneffected.

02.

Pray that Davis would come out the other end of this journey with the same enthusiastic, animal-loving, singing his heart out boy that he’s always been. Pray that he is drawn close to the Father with faith like a child, unhindered.

03.

Pray for Lance and Amanda, their marriage; that they would be each other’s provision and hold each other up no matter what they face. Pray for strength and endurance and pray against any doubt and fear they may experience.

04.

Pray for Lily, Davis’s sister, for her heart and mind to understand what’s going on, to feel and express her emotion in a healthy way, so she can process this experience in the arms of her loving family and be drawn closer to the Father.

05.

Pray that our God would be known through this whole situation and Lance and Amanda would have the determination to look to Him even during the darkest of times.

06.

Pray that it would be His light that shines through every moment, every breath and that many would come to know Jesus as their savior because of little Davis.

07.

Pray for the Robinsons extended family and friends; that they would have the wisdom to know when and how to support the ones they love so much.

08.

Pray for the Robinsons to have clear direction for their future decisions; that they would respond in obedience to the Lord and be united in their decision making.

09.

Pray that Davis’s ANC (white blood cell count) levels would rise and that any bad germs that would threaten his health and treatment schedule would not penetrate into his body and cause sickness.

“And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:27-28
